The Carnival of Cannaregio is every year one of the main events of the Venice Carneval.
In the painting the people are substituted by funny cats who row along the Canal of Cannaregio. In the background is a faithful replica of all the little shops and restaurants on the fondamenta, the entrance of the Ghetto and the bridge of the Guglie.
