Parasha Vayechi n.12

As the book of Genesis closes, the seventy souls of Jacob’s family become the twelve tribes of Israel. Cosmic secrets are almost revealed. The children of Israel sink deeper into exile, but the exile in Egypt will end when «Pakod Yifkod» (G-d will surely redeem). These would be the code words that would demonstrate to the leaders of the Israelites that the time for redemption had arrived.

Il libro della Genesi si chiude con le settanta anime della famiglia di Yaakov che diventano le dodici tribù di Israele. I segreti cosmici sono quasi rivelati. I figli d’Israele affondano sempre più profondamente nell’esilio, ma l’esilio stesso avrà termine con la promessa di misericordia da parte del Signore («Pakod Yifkod»). Questo sembra il significato dell’espressione «Pakod Yifkod»: la dimostrazione, ai capi degli israeliti, che il tempo della redenzione sta arrivando.

The image above, is showing the opening part of our Illustrated Torah scroll with the first 4 sidrot. This is a canvas reproduction of the opening part of our Medium size Illustrated Torah Scroll. The scroll contains all 54 sidrot of the Torah in paintings. It is used as a fundraiser (MAKES BETWEEN 75k and 145k) for communities and it costs a tiny fraction.

As you can see here in the video, this is also a great tool for Simchat Torah and the picture of 250 kids all holding the scroll up gives the chills.
