MY DAILY LIFE TORAH COACH:
Yom Kippur
Day of Atonement
10 Tishrei (September, October)
YOM KIPPUR is considered the most important holiday in the Jewish Year. Many jews who do not observe any other Jewish costomes will refrain from working, fast and attend synagogue services on this day. The day is dedicated to atonement and repentance. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day by spending most of their time in the synagogue, praying and fasting for approximately a 25-hour period.
