The Jewish community of Venice celebrates every year a Seder for all the members. The weeks before, volunteers of the community bake the Mazzot (unleavened bread) and the typical Pesach cookies called bisse according to traditional recipes in the old Pesach forno (bakery) like their ancestors did since the Ghetto was established in 1516.

Proverbs a new Creation by Michal Meron
Peace
This series presents an abstract and expressive interpretation of timeless proverbs, transforming familiar moral sayings into vibrant visual landscapes. Bold colors, handwritten text, and symbolic figures create layered compositions that translate moral ideas into emotional visual experiences. Proverbs are explored as themes of perseverance, coexistence, self-responsibility, and empathy. Through this energetic visual language, the paintings invite viewers to reflect on how ancient wisdom continues to resonate within contemporary life.
