Parasha of the Week Vayera n.04
Parasha Vayera n.04
One day three divine messengers come to Abraham and Sarah, telling them that they will soon have a son. G-d then tells Abraham that the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be destroyed. Abraham argues with G-d to spare Sodom, – if at least ten righteous people could be found there – and G-d agrees. But the two divine messengers who went to Lot’s house in Sodom fail to find even ten righteous people. So Lot, his two daughters, and his wife fled the doomed city, but his wife looks back and become a pillar of salt. Sarah gives birth to a son, whom she and Abraham name Isaac. When Sarah sees Ishmael mocking Isaac, she has Abraham banish Hagar and Ishmael to the desert. G-d protects them, and blesses Ishmael, promising to make him a great nation. G-d then tests Abraham, commanding him to sacrifice Isaac. But when Abraham bound Isaac to the altar to kill him, an angel holds back the knife, and G-d blesses Abraham again.
Parasha Vayera n.04
The image above, is showing the opening part of our Illustrated Torah scroll with the first 4 sidrot. This is a canvas reproduction of the opening part of our Medium size Illustrated Torah Scroll. The scroll contains all 54 sidrot of the Torah in paintings. It is used as a fundraiser (MAKES BETWEEN 75k and 145k) for communities and it costs a tiny fraction.
As you can see here in the video, this is also a great tool for Simchat Torah and the picture of 250 kids all holding the scroll up gives the chills.
I hope to have awakened your curiosity. We have to help each other in times of distress, and this is the way we can help you and you can help us.
If you are interested, let us know and I will send to you the “Real sampler” Free of Charge.
BTW, Michal is now painting an original scroll which will be ready in approximately one year.
Same paintings only originals on canvas and will be made out as a scroll.
